Fridge for JK on a budget

Looking for fridge for rear of JK. I need the external height to be less than 15" to fit under my existing shelves. I could adapt if needed for a great deal.

Does anybody have any input or experience with these fridges? They have the Danfoss Compressor....?

Looks a lot like the Waeco that I have... just shorter. But honestly... if you're going to be spending that kind of coin, get the biggest one you think you'll need.

This summer will be my 3rd summer with it. I don't think I could live without it lol. It usually spends more time in the JK than outside of it (even if all it's doing is holding cold beers when we go wheeling). So it's been bounced around a ton. And still works like a charm. The longest I've left it running (without starting the JK) was 36 hours, and the JK started with no issues (single stock battery). If I was out in the boonies I likely wouldn't leave it quite that long, just in case. Have used it as a freezer to bring Dairy Queen products home (closest DQ is 800+ miles away) - I was a hero that day.

Mine is the 25L (even that was $550/600 or so shipped 3 yrs ago). It's on the small side, but is good for 2 ppl for a long weekend (maybe 3 depending on what/how you pack). I usually just put the condiments, beer (can fit 4-6 then rotate them in/out as used), milk, eggs, cheese, veggies, and meat in there. It gets tight and usually involves some digging depending on how it's packed. But it works great.

Eventually I'll have my trailer wired up and will get a 45-60L one solely for the trailer (either this trailer or a TD). But until then this does the job. If this were to break, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. Although I'd probably go 35L next time, but with the same idea - smaller one in the JK for daily stuff and road trips and whatnot, and still get a larger one for the trailer.

So yours has run plugged into the jeep since you bought it? Thats great. Many people remove them and put them back when planning for a trip. I am thinking of using the 110 to plug into the house and use as a small freezer or fridge to keep ice or to throw some drinks in in the man cave. These work reliably enough to pull this full time duty and also run in the car? Sounds like yours has been running since installed in your JK.

Not continuously, there's no camping up here in the winter (usually sub zero for 5-6 months). But it's usually in the JK for most of the summer/spring/fall (4-5 months). If it's in my jeep, it was plugged in. If I didn't already have a mini fridge I wouldn't hesitate to use it at home.
