From Show to Go: Less than 24 hours from SEMA to Desoto Mine

I have always taken some satisfaction with our vehicles on display at SEMA always being functional 4wds, with obvious pinstriping under a shallow layer of wax, the tires never being armorall'ed and a few good adventures on the odometer before going on display. Often times, the vehicle on display are all show, and no go.

It just happened to work out this years SEMA that our display vehicle (the Overland JK) would within 24 hours go from the corner of the Mopar booth to the Desoto Mine trail in central Arizona. It worked out great, as Hernando from Colombia (Iguana4x4 on this forum) and Patrice (owner of Outback Imports in France) would be staying Prescott with us for a few days. They would be driving the JK.

No, the Frenchman is not smiling because of the Bud - in spite of it.

Even the Colombian was impressed

Of course the gun lockers make total sense. Guns are great tools, but sometimes explode when mixed with too much alcohol. :sombrero:

Oh yeah... 4x4s that actually get used, what a concept. :smiley_drive:

Very cool, I think I saw on pic posted on a site of the BDS rig, and it was all buddy and obviously used. Too bad some of these rigs don't ever see the trail.

 Way to represent on both aspects when it matters most, show and go.

But to be fair, how do you know that Nitto JK isn't out camping with their RTT this weekend?

I'll answer. Because the tent can't possible open and function the way they mounted it to the rack :p
