Front Fenders completed!

The 35" look like they belong as I completed the front fender modification.

The whole process took a lot longer than I would have been willing if I would have know in the beginning.

I was able to use a type of screw that was secured with a threaded rivet. This way I can remove the drivers side fender to get to the nuts that secure the snorkel.

Happy with how it turned out:

The final step will be the bed liner on the fenders, lower doors and rocker panels but first on to the roof rack and spare tire support.

I really like how they turned out. I also really like your 360 searchlight. I acquired one a few years ago and have yet to get it onto my jeep yet.

Thanks, The roof rack was designed to hold over 400 lbs. Weak spot of the XJ is is the thin sheetmetal that the usual roof rack is attached to, I decided to spread the weight out as evenly as possible. Sure is a hassle to take off! Guess it can second as a mobile helicopter pad! :ylsmoke:

The new rack (in design stage) will tie into the roll cage and transfer the weight to the cage. It will also serve as a "tree/rock slider" for the outside edge of the roof.

Once done I can finally get the whole vehicle painted, (then what will I do with all my free time?!)

Thanks,
Fred

Fiberglass hood

Where'd you get the cowl hood? I like it. :)

It's been a few years and all I can remember was that they were in Flordia and it cost about 50% of the hood to ship it to California!

I have to believe there was someone else closer and for less money. When I got done with the cost of the hood and shipping it was about $500.00! :Wow1:

Thanks,
Fred
