My girlfriends truck is up for sale - 1988 Toyota 4x4 extracab with shell / roll out drawers and sleeping platform. 253K miles - Runs great - 4 cyl 22RE engine & 5 speed.
She needs to sell it to fund our/her next adventure overseas.
Truck is located at friend's place in Paonia CO and can be seen/driven there. Here is a link to the craigslist posting with photos: http://westslope.craigslist.org/cto/3203940443.html
Price: $3,250 OBO
Good stuff: new tires LT235/75-R15 Cooper Discoverers (less than 5K miles) on factory aluminum rims. The front brakes & shocks, alternator, battery, head gasket, radiator and exhaust has all been replaced in the last couple of years. Shell is tall type to allow sitting up in the back while on the sleeping platform and has dual padlock hasps for security. Bed of truck is just long enough for two 6 footers to sleep in (we've done it many times).
Not so good stuff: Check engine light comes on occasionally - one rear plexiglass window is cracked & missing a small piece - rear bed has minor rust and is different color of gray - needs new gas lift struts for rear hatch - rear drawers / platform is functional but rough - stereo doesn't work (needs to be replaced probably). Front end makes typical noise when turning sharp (very common problem for these trucks).
I've driven this truck occasionally in the last few years and it is solid and still has a lot of life in it. Feel free to PM me with questions or if you want more photos.
