Lately my wife has been hinting that its time to move. So I need to get on with getting things squared away and that means getting some of our financial obligations taken care of. I have some general pictures that I will post with this ad, and will get some more detailed pics once I get a chance to get it cleaned up. Its covered with salt right now. I will get pics up tomorrow. Fly and drive, Capital City Airport is 10 mins from my house.
I purchased it almost 1 year ago from a Honda dealer in Southgate, MI. It was a one owner, woman owned vehicle. No accidents. It had 104,xxx when I bought it and it now has just over 112,xxx. Everything works, it is mechanically and structurally sound. It does not leak, or burn any fluids. Here is the run down on the good and bad....
The bad:
It does have some cancer. There is 1 spot on the drivers door and a couple spots along the drivers rocker at the seam. There is also some on the body above the spare and of course on the backside of the bumpers. Nothing is perforated, yet. The frame is sound. Some surface rust and the undercoating flaking off at welds, but no holes, no deep rust.
The fabric on the door panel on the drivers door is pulling away from the plastic. Ive been meaning to glue it back on, just haven't.
It is leaking coolant at the thermostat housing. Apparently when I replaced the thermostat, I did not get it sealed well. I was intending to fix this when it warms up. FIXED
One of the elements in the rear defroster has lost continuity. But the defroster works otherwise.
The Good:
Everything works. Power windows, rear window, all transfer case functions, high low range. All buttons, switches work their appropriate accessories and all the accessories work. All fluids other than the brake and power steering fluid have been changed and any accompanying filters. Transmission was fully flushed in my driveway. My intention in building this up was first and foremost to make it a safe daily driver. Timing belt service was done around 75,000 according to the sticker on the timing belt cover. It also looks as if it has had a BG service done at some point in its life.
New parts I have added/replaced since I took ownership.
- Yokohama Geolander AT/s tires, 256-75-16
- OME 881/890 lift from Toytec. Springs and shocks.
- Toytec rear upper adjustable control arms to bring the pinion back in alignment.
- SPC/Light Racing front upper control arms to bring the caster back after lifting.
- Sonoran Steel adjustable panhard bar.
- New lower ball joints Raybestos Professional Grade greasable.
- New inner and outer tie rods Raybestos Professional Grade.
- Poly steering rack bushings.
- New rear engine mount OE Toyota (transfer case mount)
- New Denso Radiator
- New Aux Tranny cooler. I believe its a 24,000btu unit, but it could be a 19,000. Run in series with the radiator.
- New Denso AC compressor, condensor, drier/filter, expansion valve.
- New rear driveshaft built by local driveshaft shop. Balanced and brought within .005 tolerance.
- I just did the Tundra upgrade on the front with the 231 calipers.
- New rear brakes, shoes, drums, springs etc.
- Kenwood KIV bt-900 stereo and Cobra 18 WX STII in the dash. I custom mount these to fit into the double din opening. Looks OE.
- Custom built rear drawer system.
I am sure I am forgetting somethings. If they come to mind I will update.
I am looking to get $8,500 cash for it. I have clear title in hand. I may be interested in a cheap beater plus cash on your end. I am partial to late 80's to mid 90's Hondas. Civic or CRX. I would also be willing to entertain a Dual Sport plus cash. Kawi KLR or Suzuki DR.
The running boards are gone.
