FS: 2007 Tacoma Doublecab V6 4x4 shortbox, only 25k miles ...

SOLD!

Sadly, I think it's time to find a new home for my beloved Tacoma. We moved to the UK from Arizona in Oct 2009 and the truck has been at my parents place in Colorado since (stored indoors and used once or twice a week to keep fluids moving and battery charged).

I'd originally planned to keep it -- forever -- and it's the only of our three vehicles I didn't sell before leaving the States. However, we're in England for 2-3 more years (from now) and could do another international assignment after ... so it's making less and less sense to hold onto it.

This listing is exclusive to ExPo members (referrals are welcomed though). I will be in the US from July 7 to the end of the month and would love to pass it on to a fellow ExPo'er then. In fact, we're in Colorado for a bit then heading to Arizona for a couple weeks and I'd be open to helping delivery to a buyer in that Four Corners region. Otherwise, I plan to detail it and take fresh photos after we arrive then broadly list it in the Denver area (auto trader / craigslist / etc), where it will be advertised at a market-based price ($24,900-$25,500, arrived at by triangulating auto trader and craigslist with kbb/edmunds and my truck's spec/condition).

My "build thread" (in quotes because I never got to the overland stuff before moving) is here: http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/12113-Rob-O-s-Overland-Tacoma-...

Happy to answer questions via email or PM. I can also call the US free from here, so email me your number if interested and I'll ring you at a convenient time.

And a couple of obligatory "trail shots" to show it did get dirty/used as intended :bike_rider: (both of these predate the clean photos above)

In the US (in Colorado for a few more days) but I've had limited access to Internet. I washed the truck on Friday and it immediately poured, while I was 20 miles from shelter. Then I drove it to Fairplay where it rained again. So it's not ready for glamor shots yet. :-/

Inventory of condition: 26000 miles (just turned over); runs and drives perfect; a few small, superficial surface blemishes from back country use and one tiny ding that can be corrected with PDR (nothing that stands out). Otherwise in excellent condition. I took a couple snapshots while in the mountains yesterday and will see if I can load them from my iPad.

After being back in the driver's seat of my truck and enjoying the past couple weeks behind the wheel of it, I think my wife and I have agreed we should just keep it. I really do love it.

That said, market values are strong and the fact remains it's a bit silly for us to let it sit relatively unused for another two years (minimum), so I'm leaving this thread open for ExPo'ers who might be interested.

Cheers.

I've had a couple of emails expressing interest. I'm back in the UK but happy to discuss (can call the States for free). Still available, and only listed here on ExPo at this time.

Beautiful truck, I loved Mosquito pass when I lived there, started to lightning around us on one of our trips and had to get down fast. Good luck with the sale, with those low miles it's still new!

I appear to have a thing for shooting from the driver's side, so here's one of the passenger's side.

Again, just a snapshot ... taken for no other reason than I like looking at my truck. :)

This is the same location and date as the previous upload (mid-July while I was in the US, taken from my parent's mountain property near Fairplay). Processing is a bit weird because it was done on an iPad.

I've had a couple of inquiries regarding the factory load bars which mount to the bed cleats. I used them several times to carry our Thule cargo box before I had roof-mount load bars, and a couple times to haul a bike. They are pretty handy. Here's what it looked like a roof box mounted. The tailgate opened/closed and there was still plenty of storage beneath it. Looked a bit daft, but worked. :)

I drove PHX to DEN a few times this way, no problem, and crossed several passes (Mosquito, Georgia and others) with it mounted.

I would say congratulations but that wouldn't reflect my true feelings of jealousy and rage. I wish my '06 4Runner had 250,000 miles rather than 150,000 miles so I could have jumped on this. Enjoy the rig
