That's a really cool idea - I would like to see the axle closer to the center for good weight distribution, but it's pretty cool none the less. :victory:

The square tongue is concerning. Interested buyer, be sure to make sure you are cool with the turning radius. Only from looking at the photos - if this trailer were to get jacked, it might taco a bumper.

Looks like it might be big enough to park a vehicle in. Cut eight feet off the front for better weight distribution, sell the aluminum for scrap.

Axle location to the rear makes it tow kinda like the heavy duty "low-boy" trailers that have the axles all the way at the back. never sways but does have some tongue weight. 3/4ton trucks like air bags or helper springs.

The square end has only seemed to be an issue on bumper style class3+ hitches... anything with some length that sticks out past the bumper and/or lower than the bumper can get almost 90deg.

Also they make extended reese-type hitch inserts as well as the ProPride or trunion style hitches extend length away from bumper.... just some thoughts we've had.

40,000lb capacity LowBoy example....

Surge Brakes - as the vehicle decelerates the trailer prefers to continue moving forward - that energy is transferred into the surge brake hitch causing the trailer tongue to compress a hydraulic piston that actuates the disc brakes. Once the trailer slows itself enough to relieve the compression force the brakes release.

Hook-up is 2-5/16 ball and 4-pin for wiring.
