I have a 60 for sale and am looking for an 80....

I have an '86 fj60 I am selling and am looking for an 80. Your's looks tempting!

I have had my 60 for 5 years. It has 192k original miles. The previous owner had the engine rebuilt at 60k...not sure why. I have had no problems with the rebuilt engine. Starts every morning. Warn Winch, ARB front bumper, Yakama Rack and basket, KC daylighters, decent 33x10.5 bfg allterrains.

The interior is clean, minus the torn drivers seat. The outside has a bit of rust on both rear wheelwells.

Front ball joints and boots replaced, starter, battery, alternator, shocks, front leafs, thermostat, all replaced within the last 2 years. Other than that, I haven't had to do any major work on it.

Let me know if you are interested. I am Buena Vista, CO.

Hmmm, its $4,000 then our 80 series budget right now, but it would save us money not have to do mods. Let me see what I can work out.

Thanks for all of the inquires, PMs and emails! There are some common questions I feel that I should address here so as not to waste anyones time:

I'm pretty set on the price. I've had the rig for 5 months. Receipts for the rig, brand new parts, cool guy gear, labor, tax in some cases and shipping hit the $14383.97 marker. If you bought a nice rig well, and did the same mods - that is what you would expect to pay. Some folks do not think they get a good deal unless the seller bleeds out of the eyes. Some people think their used gear is gold. I figure losing $2,383.97 and sparing the buyer time of parts acquisition and installation makes my asking price a fair deal.

I can't finance it. I appreciate the interest, but this is going to fill an important need.

The Cruiser really is 100% good. I'm not selling it because I don't like / want it anymore.

I hope this post is not 'tacky' or otherwise received in poor taste.

Thanks for looking!

Nice truck!

Do you have a maint. history on the vehicle? What was the truck's condition when you got it - had it been properly maintained?

Reading the thread on your build now - didn't see it when I initially posted.

Forgive my ignorance, but at 180K, what kinda time/miles can one expect to get outta the engine? Any other issues? Condition of brakes?

How's the interior? I know you mentioned the seats are in good repair.

Any dents, rust to worry about?

Thx.
