Selling my Willys!!! Don't really want to, but it looks like I might be going to Afghanistan and would rather someone use it than have it sit in storage.

'46 VEC CJ2A #17477. Jeep runs and drives great but should still be considered a project. Needs a lot of little things but I drove it all summer without any issues. I stripped all of the bondo off of this Jeep that previous owners put on it so you can see what needs to be done. I have nothing to hide with this CJ and I hope someone gets as much fun out of it as I did. This thing's been all over the San Juans and Moab and has been a great travel companion. This would be an excellent starting point for someone new to the old Jeeps as I located most of the hard-to-find parts and got the mechanical gremlins out already (knock on wood).

Will consider partial trades for cool overland gear (ARB awning, engel fridge, RTT, GOOD lights, winches, etc). I have the title in hand and would be more than happy to put it in indoor storage for you until you can pick it up (storage is about $100/mo around here).

Specifics:
-Original flathead 4cyl engine (could use a new oil pickup and likely rod bearings soon... both are included)
-original column shift jeep converted to floor by previous owner
-Dualmatic Hubs
-Army windshield with M1 mount brackets
-Original keyed coil Jeep (coil itself missing but other parts there)
-12V conversion with new 60A alternator
-Solex carb w/fuel filter and pressure regulator
-metal bowl fuel pump
-all original gauges included
-Dana 41 rear end
-firewall mount horn
-tool indents
-has firewall data plate (no frame tag)
-body/engine numbers match
-yes, it leaks... no engine oil, just gear oil.

Stuff it comes with:
-non-original beefy Warn bumper (if you want it)
-old turn signal switch
-custom rear rack for bed
-rare rear swing-out rack (not sure of manufacturer but I'm told they were in the ******** Cepek catalogs in the 60's-70's)
-snorkel (CJV-35 reproduction I did for fun... can be easily removed)
-fresh Dana 27 front axle and Dana 44 rear axle complete from hub to hub
-new oil pickup and rod bearings
-original seat frames (need to be covered)
-all original gauges
-random extra parts
-factory service manuals

What's wrong with it:
-body needs to be patched/hat channels replaced
-needs new tool bin
-needs new speedo cable
-ross box has sticky spot in it, probably needs rebuild
-carb needs cleaning (sticky butterfly valve)
-needs new oil pickup (possibly rod bearings)
-parking lights need to be wired
-turn signals need to be wired (if you want them, not legally required)
-right front wheel cylinder just decided to start leaking in Moab... will need to be replaced before Jeep can be driven safely.

So post up if you have any questions or just want to comment on how awesome it is :coffeedrink: Thanks for taking a peek!
