Sadly it’s time for me to put up my 2014 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited X for sale. I have absolutely loved this car and will hate to see it go. My wife and I are planning on driving around the world next spring and after our test run down to Baja we decided we wanted something bigger like a truck/camper combo. I built this car with every intention of taking it on this trip and haven’t spared any expense. I’ve owned this car since it was new. Oil has been changed with full synthetic religiously every 5k miles and the transmission, transfer case, and gear oil has been changed at a minimum every 30k miles. Almost all of the mileage has been highway miles as I have a second electric vehicle for getting around in the city. The pictures are a bit dated as it has been raining nonstop out in SF and I haven’t had a chance to detail it. I can take more pictures if you’d like.

It is the Rubicon Unlimited X version which is the top of the line. It’s been called the Hard Rock and 10th Anniversary in other years, but in 2014 it was the X. It comes with a steel winch ready bumper in the front and a steel bumper in the back from the factory. It also comes with an upgraded Alpine stereo system compared to the normal Rubicon. I got pretty much all the available options, but the important ones to note are as follows:

• Tow Package
• U730 Uconnect system with hard drive
• Automatic temperature control
• STICK SHIFT!!!!
• Rubber floor mats
• Side Air Bags

The Jeep does have some small dings here and there. Nothing severe, but the body isn’t perfect. The interior is in mint condition. Mechanically the Jeep is in perfect shape too and has a ton of upgrades. It’s all designed to work as a cohesive system. I’ve probably spent north of $30k in parts on this thing plus labor. The axles alone cost about $12,000. It’s a real head turner and I always get a ton of compliments driving it around. It’s even better seeing people do a double take when my wife is driving it.

Here’s a list of the upgrades. Most were installed around 17k miles unless otherwise noted.
• Dynatrac Prorock Dana 44 up front
• New Dynatrac Prorock Semifloat Dana 60 in the rear – Installed at 77k miles. This is basically brand new. It’s been on the car for a month. Still under warranty.
• RCV Axles
• Reid Racing Knuckles
• Brand new Spicer ball joints – Installed at 77k miles
• Coast 1310 Drive Shaft in the front
• Adam’s Driveshaft Extreme Duty Rear 1310 CV Driveshaft for the rear Dana 60
• 5.13 Yukon Gears
• 3.5” Game Changer Lite lift kit by Metalcloak
• ARB Compressor and ARB air lockers front and rear. Rear is new.
• New Metalcloak HD Tie Rod – Installed at 77k.
• New Metalcloak HD Drag Link – Installed at 77k.
• Toyo 37x13.50r17 load range E tires on KMC XD807 Wheels. The fronts were installed at 37k miles, the rear at 77k. Still have lots of tread life. The tires handle amazingly and run circles around other cars on Tahoe trips in the snow.
• Poison Spyder Extreme Duty Cross Member
• Maximus 3 Modular Tire Carrier
• Maximus 3 Hard Rock/X/10A winch plate for stock bumper
• Warn Zeon 10S Winch
• AFE Cold Air Intake
• Metalcloak Overline Fenders with Armor on all four fenders. These are so strong you can stand on them.
• JW Speaker LED 8700 Headlights
• S-Tech 6 switch overhead switch system – wired for the compressor and lockers with three open slots.
• The interior tub has been sound dampened with mass loaded vinyl and closed cell foam. It made a world of difference with road noise.
• Rhino Rack Back Bone Roof Rack System – Installed around 60k miles.
• iKamper Skycamp Roof Top Tent with Annex, shoe holder, long ladder, security locks, and wind deflector. The annex has never been used.

Basically the entire suspension system was upgraded to handle the bigger tires and other upgrades were installed to handle weaknesses like the headlights. The only other thing I would add would be a dual battery system. It fits in a shipping container.

I also have a 50” light bar and brackets I can include. I took it off because it made the Jeep really noisy with wind buffeting. It’s possible to fix it this issue, but I didn’t get a whole lot of use out of the light bar and decided to just remove it. I also have the original tires and front axle, although I’m planning on selling those separately unless you want them.

All in all it’s a turn key overland rig. It can tackle any road you throw at it. I love this car and am going to hate to see it go.

Listing Price is $45K OBO. If you don’t want the winch take $1,000 off the price. And if you don’t want the iKamper and accessories take another $3,500 off the price.
