Galveston Island 1-17-10

After a dismal performance from the cowboys today, we decided to get out and enjoy some of the first decent weather we've had in several weeks down here. We had a couple of hours to play on the trails down at the west end of the island near San Luis Pass before the sun started setting and we had to head back. was a lot of fun as i've been itching to get the new truck dirty.

I love this pic. It reminds me of all the time I spent around Fatties chasing reds. I used to skip school to drive down to Galveston and fish until sunset, grab a bite a Gaidos then head back to Waco full, tired and smelling like fish. Great memories.

Grew up in Galveston. We used to hang out on the West end... surfing or fishing every day!

San Luis Pass is great for sharks.... you can just reach over the side and grab them, there are so many!

yes it does! the smell, however, is unwelcome. the garage stinks like seaweed. its going to get a bath this evening to remedy that hopefully.

you should try to make it out to our local nissan club's monthly meet and greet. it's the 3rd thursday of every month; it'll be this thursday the 21st, 7pm at the Willie's Icehouse on 290/Jones (NW).

we're mainly a nissan club, but we have anything and everything. Mike 'Mr. Leary' joined us up at Barnwell last weekend in his 4Runner.

i won't be at this meet/greet, but you're more than welcome to join us - as is everybody else!
