In the US, look at Kenwood units. Garmin supplies the GPS part. The DNX5120 has been discontinued, but you can still find some marked way down, ie $550 instead of $900+. Higher end models are even more money.

No TV tuner in the Kenwoods. No topo maps in the lower end units.
