Garmin E Trex Vista HCx use w/Ozi Exploer

I'm thinking about buy a new E Trex Vista HCx GPS unit for Hiking and Geocaching. Will I be able to use this unit as a gps receiver for Ozi explorer on my laptop in the Jeep. Or should I just have a stand alone semi-permanent Puck style unit for Ozi/laptop.

Reason for the eTrex Vista HCx, because it light weight, long service hours and screen size isn't that important to me. I only want to use it for Hiking and Geocahing. I will use Ozi-explorer for mapping and trip planing.

I have a Vista that is Martin's (my son) gps....it will work fine with ozi and charge thru the usb cable...
Ozi will talk with the Garmin waypts and all that...
Plus you can load mapsource on the laptop and get a 2 for 1 deal

Thats what I needed to know, Thanks Lance. Could you send me the info on that Cheap GPS puck you found. I might still get one at that Price. have it for a back up in case the garmin goes out.
