Does anyone have any experience with the Garvin Wilderness EXT rear bumper/tire carrier for the Jeep Wrangler JK? Opinions on it? Pros? Cons? Post pics if you have it please.

Thanks!

I haven't seen it in person, only on the net.

I have a friend with a Garvin rack on the back of his TJ. Other than needing ground straps to provide a good RF ground, he's happy with it.

It doesn't look to be built anywhere near as stoutly as many of the other offerings (LOD, Expedition One, Shrockworks, or AEV). Looking at it, it may also limit your departure angle slightly when compared with other tire carrier/bumper combos...but that's not likely to be an issue unless you're doing some serious off-roading. I'm assuming here that you've already noted that they've only built this rack to handle 35 inch tires as the maximum.

I do like their shovel and axe mounts though. :sombrero:

Edit: I just saw the price. You can get a lot more bumper for the same price or even less with one of the other options. Take a look at what Expedition One and LOD are offering.
