OK, guys I have purchased another XJ it will be a trailer queen I believe but not for sure yet. Eitherway I go it will not have stock gauges or stock dash.

I am looking for a source for gauge pods. All I seem to locate are the pillar types for additional gauges.

Anybody have a source either vendor or builder that I can look at or contact?

here is a pic of what I have to work with... probably need a "custom" pod like the previous owner has... he is using in new project.

This guy did my CJ7 dash. Very reasonably priced, very good at communication, very good at customability. Dunno if he does XJ's, but worth a try.

Give Jamie @ logan's metal products a call. They're the ones that built my winch bumper.

They do custom work, which includes a line of CJ7 dashes. I'll betcha that they'd be able to work something up for you.

Here's the link: http://logansmetals4x4.com/id11.html

EDIT: Just read thru it, when I was looking for the link, and it clearly says they're able to do custom stuff, so there's an option for ya, amigo. :)

Thats awesome! I love the stock, yet different look. so many things I like about it, its hard to pin down. Whats the thing behind the fender flare? The clear window thingy? :sombrero: Boy, dont you guys love my use of technical terms? :snorkel:

Not so much help for your gauge quest....But.....That thing is amazing! Great ideas... As best as I can figure, that clear window thingy is an aftermarket side marker. Correct me if I am wrong. :bike_rider:

The original owner is/was an automotive engineer, pilot and desert racer (Baja).
The lights behind the fender are actually 24 VDC aircraft lights of some sort modified for 12VDC and are for rocktype lights with a yellow marker light too. The front end and the flares are actually modified and from an H3. The beading is just to revent water/mud from building in the seams. The socket in front of the passanger fender is for 12VDC Military type connection for jump starting or being jump started.

He was sponsored by Bilstein and Hela among others. The rear hatch has modified installs of lights too and Bilstein made purposely designed shocks for the XJ.
