GE Mastr IIe base station and aux receiver

All parts are shipping to Shorty tomorrow. Thanks for the input and help disposing of these.

I beleive this belongs here rather than languishing in the classified section.

I've come upon a GE Master IIE base station with an aux receiver. The transmitter output is 100W. There four power transistors. I looked them up (4104P1) on line. It appears that they are good to 80 Mhz.

The aux receiver is the basic aux receiver.

The control board is the IIE solid state version.

I have several multicouplers also.

All parts are as is where is.

If anyone wants all or part of this system, make an offer.

This thing weighs a ton, so shipping is on your dime.

No insult to you intended, but the Master II is a highly qualified boat anchor. That will be a large part of it languishing in the classifieds. Most of the hams here are buying mobile units from Kenwood, Icom and Yaesu.

Throw up some specs for the multicouplers in case a more advanced ham here is in need of something for a repeater build.

Yea, I know the master II is a bit of a pig, but I hate to send it to the land fill if someone can use it.

The Mastr II's are still popular for repeaters as they are cheap, reliable and are good for full duplex. However it sounds like you have a low-band radio which not even the (2m) repeater folks would be excited about. If you are lucky enough to have the lowest low band split (25 - 30Mhz) maybe you can sell it to the pirate CB crowd for mucho money.

I agree.

How about specs on the multicouplers? Pictures?

I will try to get pics of the multicouplers and spec this weekend. I found a tech manual for the exciter and PA. The frequency range is 25-50 Mhz for anyone interested.

That would make a good 52.525 Mhz on 6 meters radio to tie into a repeater for simplex intercoms

I'd just post it on QRZed. The guys that would be interested in MII's usually specialize in them as repeater builders (as already mentioned). They usually have boneyards of parts from several machines laying around and can convert to whatever they need. The MII is known for being a very robust platform and has value for that reason. Just don't expect too much from the sale.

I'm just trying to keep this stuff out of the land fill. It's a shame to destroy perfectly good equipment that someone wants or needs.

Although some might argue.......http://www.qrz.com is not a landfill. It's easily the most active website dedicated to Amateur Radio enthusiasts. Once posted there, it will stand the best chance of avoiding the landfill..........another thought is to get ahold of Shorty Stouffer (WinSystem owner, google "winsystem" or get his e-mail from QRZ), he is a notable builder focused on the MII platform. Nearly the entire WinSystem is run on Master II's.

Thanks for the info. I'll try to contact Shorty.
