Gen 1 or Gen 2 FSM ?

Hi all. I am thinking about getting a Montero and was curious how thorough the Factory Service Manuals are. I'm currently driving a 94 Landcruiser and would be screwed without the FSM when stuff breaks. I'm not brand new to "wrenching" but would be lost with a 25 year old vehicle and no direction for fixing stuff.
