Gen 2/2.5 Gas tanks

So there's not many of these left in serviceable condition and the ones that are cost many hundreds of dollars. I'm on my second tank, I actually bought a complete truck to get it. I suggest to some of you guys who are in the Montero game for the long term watch the yards for them, keep an eye on the EVAP change somewhere around 95/96. Buy one and keep it in your attic or wherever if you happen upon one for your rig in the $100-200 range, typically yards don't know there are drains on these things so they puncture the tanks. Do a good inspection.

i got one with holes in it, hoping to weld it when time comes

Funny thing, the more i smash my gas tank the better MPG i get, lately it's been just under 20 MPG and fuel gauge lives its own life so i just use odometer when to fill up
