Gen 2.5 rear seats

New to ExPo. Looking at a 98 montero Gen 2.5 with winter package. Only bummer is no 3rd row seats.

Questions: Do the 3rd row seats out of a 1997 SR fit a Gen 2.5?

Thanks

I would think so, but if you have access to the seats outta the 97 available throw it in there and check it out...just saying

Thanks missleone and off-roader. I guess a follow-up question is, how many leather interior colors were there for the 1997-98 models? I think I may have found seats from a 1997 SR that are being advertised as beige. The Monty I'm looking at is a white 2.5 with "grey" interior. I wonder if these are drastically different.

I'm pretty sure they're the same...but I haven't actually compared bolt patterns on the fenders. I looks to me, like the inboard floor mounts in the center of the floor are the same, though.

Pretty sure nothing changed with these from the Gen II to the Gen II.5.

It's the Gen III's that are a completely different design, as they are more of a fold and tumble style than a forward facing jumpseat style.

I LOVE that the Gen II/Gen II.5 seats can be used independently left/right, so as to maximize cargo storage if needed.

Gray is gray and beige is tan. They are totally different. Also, not sure on a 97, but the 95-96 SR tan is a different shade from the Gen II.5s. The II.5s shift a little gray in their tan, but are not the blue-gray that a white exterior comes with. Search Car-Part.com for seats...

Thanks MontyMcV. I appreciate your help. Turns out I found another 1999 Montero that has the rear jump seats.
