Gen 2 Plenum question *help, need advice*

Hello, I changed my plenum with the updated (MD335940) one from Mitsu. Will the updated one need replacing in 100,000 miles? Or is this a permanent fix? I have Gen 2 1994 Montero SR DOHC. Thanks in advance........
