Gen 3 Air Lift Suspension for rear

I drive mostly on the street as this is my DD. I am in the process of shopping for new shocks/struts all around. Because I am not going offroad nearly as much as I would like I will probably keep my OEM springs, maybe a 50mm coil lift in rear for a little more clearance and also because on my last trip my rear end sag was 5-6" fulled loaded with camping equipment. I am also seriously considering getting rear air lift suspension: https://www.airliftcompany.com/shop/60917/
My thinking is this: If I get 2" from the coil lift I can still expect 5-6" of sag because the springs are the same. So if I can raise the rear (or just keep it level, normal ride height with no load) by adding a few psi to the air bags then I can actually benefit from the coil spacers and maintain some good clearance.

The air lift is about $100 and the rear coil spacers are about $50.

My offroading is pretty simple stuff with my main goal just to keep from getting stuck. I choose lines to drive that I know me and the truck can handle so the really high performance wheeling is not an issue for me. image.jpg
The picture is looking up through the coils toward the top. There is the bottom of a bolt that hangs down a bit into the top area of the rear coil. Is anyone running air bags and how do you work around that bolt hanging down.

I would like to hear from anyone with thoughts on all of this.
I am very interested in hearing from anyone running air bags in the rear.
Thank you-

So looking on youtube under Airbag Man installation for a Pajero I saw that you install a "protector plate" inside the top of the coil which provides a safe place for the top of the air bag to rest, keeping it off of the top bolt I mentioned above....

Any other thoughts on airbag use would be appreciated.

They are very helpful to get rid of sag, but you need to get ones for your current ride height. The stock height bags will not fit in the OME 2" lift springs and vice versa. If you plan on doing an OME suspension lift, then buy spring rates for DD use and get airbags for the taller ride height when loaded.

You can upgrade to the OME coils for about the same money and come out ahead.

That makes a lot of sense. If I get the standard OME springs are they more "sag" resistant? I am still trying to keep standard ride height when loaded for camping trips etc... I don't want to upgrade with new parts and still have my rear end drop when loaded...
