Wondering if any of you have preferences? Want to replace my oldish battery before I need to and was wondering what you guys have been using.

The cheapest one that fits and has a good replacement warranty, I say this because there are only about a half dozen battery manufacturers in the US and Mexico that sell batteries under dozens of different labels.

I'm high maintenance, I went with a yellow top, and when I get my dual battery system finished, I'll probably get another yellow top.

If you intend to run a winch or other accessories that will discharge the batteries you should have went with the M(D34M/D27M,etc) series blue top, it was designed as a dual-purpose starting/deep discharge battery with more reserve, and the yellow top is simply a starting battery that will die much quicker when discharged repeatedly. But...that... that is exactly the opposite of what your link shows. The red top is the starting battery, yellow and blue are deep cycle (save the dark grey 34m referenced in the link, which is a marine starting battery).

Red top: starting
Yellow:starting/deep cycle
Blue: marine starting/deep cycle

The article specifically states that yellow and blue are identical internally.

I have a Duralast AGM (Autozone) group 24 in my '05. No issues, have had it about 2 years.

so 24 or 35? My truck currently has a 24 but I see they both fit.

Which ever one offers the most reserve capacity which between the 2 is a 24

If you are buying from a retailer, be sure to check the manufacturing date. One of the first batteries I grabbed at Autozone was already like 18 months old, so I switched to a different store (several in my area) and got one only 2 months old. Get as fresh (new) one as possible.
