This question is specifically for those of you that have OME lifts installed on GEN 3 monteros with tires 285/75/16 or larger. How often do these things eat CV axles? Boot issues? Are you getting full articulation after trimming the body?
I have had my lift less than a year, right front axle was toast within a few weeks of installation. Looks and sounds like the left one is done now, boot has slipped and will need to be repaired/replaced at a min. I can get ALMOST full u-turn but if I pull the wheel all the way tight left or right it will grind a bit.
I had a feeling this might be a problem when I installed the OME stuff. Alignment is good and all other suspension components have been replaced in last 12 months. Just curious if this will continue to be a problem over and over...any insight is appreciated.
