Gen III in East Coast (VA, WV, Uwharrie, VT, NH) mud and rocks?

How do these do in these muddy conditions? Most of the photos I see are out West, but our conditions are far different out here with tight, muddy, rocky trails. I would throw on 33" muds, rear locker, sliders, lift to make it more capable.

They have one of the best 4wd systems ever used depending which year gen 3 you are looking at, but a quick search will pull up some great threads.

I live in south Asheville and own a gen 2.5. I have put this vehicle through stuff some of my old jeeps with bigger tires and lift couldn't do. And its stock on 31's with plans to go to a small lift and 33's. Should be more than enough to take on everything at Uwharrie and the east coast.

You don't need a lift to run 33's.

So, no one wheels these on the East Coast? :sombrero:

They certainly do, but in my NH experience, it's all Jeeps, Toyotas, Blazers, and Broncos. Japanese (or any Asian SUV) cars never seem to do too well holding up against the rampant road salt use, and just aren't that common to start with.
