Here's a place to make general comments about your jeep or jeeps in general. The stuff not worth the effort of making a thread for.

I'll start.

Got a few bucks ahead so I ordered a new Besttop factory replacement for the YJ. The instructions were clear. Install when it is above 72 degrees.

Rain was coming and it was 62 degrees. Since the jeep did not come with a top we decided to install anyway. What a nightmare (3/4 inch too short everywhere.) Hairdryers, heating time inside etc. but it's installed. And why do the back side windows only unzip on only two sides? Kinda makes them mostly useless just like that dang attachment bar along the bottom of the back window. Really bad design overall.

Your turn.

There comes a point in every jeeps life when you start making weekly repairs just so you can drive on the 100% paved highway to work every day.

the only unzip there because you can pull it from the track in the other 2 places

At that point, you're supposed to take out a $10-20k loan to have it undergo its first restoration. I will do that many years from now for whichever of my vehicles will need it. My LJ is practically brand-new, and my Scout II is at the very end of its restoration (it's being rewired).

I spent all night tearing down a driveshaft and cleaning it extensively to realize it would be more cost effective to just buy a reman from autozone *Insert face into palm*

that loan idea sounds like a decent one, my XJ is at that point in it's life that it needs that but I don't think a 20 year old with no credit could get approved for any loan, and I don't want to deal with a loan at the moment. so little repairs here and there, till I can afford to go all out.
