:Wow1: How many people have 3 hands? Thought so. I just got tired of opening my fridge, holding it open with one hand getting out what I need and closing it again not to say anything about loading it up for a trip or cleaning it out. Here is what I came up with.
At first I was looking at a hydraulic piston type ram, but the psi was way to much to close it. So I remembered what I did for my boat hatch using a spring that will collapse. Problem solved. Went to West Marine and for 11.oo dollars my aggravation was over with this Stainless steel spring . See the picutres. Mark for 4 holes use the correct drill bit, 4 screws later and your done. I used silicone to fill in the holes before I installed the screws.:wings: To close the top just push the spring forward or backwards. when it's open the spring stays rigid. :victory: Kiss system... Keep It Simple Stupid!
