I have tried on three separate occasions to access the site and Avast keeps telling me there is an infection there.

I also checked expeditionportal.com and a few other sites, and they comes back completely clean.

Yes, I remember noticing it was pretty bad a while back. It appears to be mostly cleaned up now, but by viewing the page source I can still see some leftover bits of script in there. Apparently still enough to trigger the Securi SiteCheck tool.
