Goal Zero Nomad 100...charge car battery?

Apologies up front if this topic has been posted to death, and also for my basic understanding of all things solar.

Question is: Can I charge our camper battery (single) effectively with the Goal Zero Nomad 100 or Boulder 100 solar panels? Our camper has a pre-wired Zamp connection, and I have heard that you need to re-wire the panel to work properly, as they reverse the polarity on the connection at the camper....SAE on the camper, 8mm on the GZ panels.

Good idea, and if so, am I reading that correctly about needing to rewire the GZ panel if I go that route? Thanks for any advice.

Yeah zamp SAE plugs are reversed. You can find things on amazon to flip that the other way. An 8mm to zamp product should do that automatically.

What are you going to do for charge controller though? I'm not familiar with any camper that has a zamp plug and a charge controller built in, they're banking on you buying their panels with charge controller as an all in one overpriced solution.

I might just keep it simple and get the 12V Charge Controller, and run it off the panels to the battery. It is easy to access with alligator clips to charge the battery.

easy mods to add a charge controller in the vehicle along with a bulkhead SAE connector of proper polarity and plug any panel you want into it. Just ignore the crosswired / proprietary setup, leave it in place.
