If I were you, I'd try to bring more cash and get something with less mileage and preferable a 99+.

This one's been on the market for a little while. They'd probably be willing to negotiate heavily on the price (I'm guessing). I inquired about it a while ago, and they said that it doesn't have a rear locker, but everything else is clean.

Seeing as how it's a Toyota $2k might be a reasonable price. Nice thing about it is all the parts you need to bring it up to working condition are easily available.
