Thought I would post here given the experts here on expo trailer. Was going to add a RTT and other goodies, but no matter how comfortable the camping was she still wants to sleep on a bed. I decided to sell this and will be adding a roof rack at RTT to my jeep instead for camping (no wife). Not sure if the price is too high?
Up for sale is a custom built King Trailer 5'2" x 8'1" utility trailer. This started out as a standard 5x8 trailer, the original owner has it customized with aluminum sides, locking aluminum cover and 2 locking access doors back and sides. I had recently purchased it to use for camping with family to pull behind the Jeep but as luck would have it my sweet wife decided even a fully stocked campsite wasnt comfortable enough. We ending up buying a place in Wisconsin for "camping".
Trailer has been gone completely through and replaced the following; new 3/4" treated MDF, Marine Carpet, Rust Coated the entire frame, painted and sealed with Rubber Coating, new hubs and bearings, new lights and wiring (pvc pipe protected wiring) new weather stripping around access doors. New Locks on both access doors Waterproofed sealing for the interior with rubberized coating and silicon seal. Sitting on a #3500 axle with approx #2500 capacity. I had it sprayed to match my Anvil Jeep. The trailer has made 2 trips since I redid over the summer, Grand Rapids and Madison only.
Couple of know issues, could use new fenders (rusted at support and slightly bent but is solid and functional, more cosmetic. could use new leaf spring hangers.
I have the original pictures of the trailer and documentation. I have NOT sent off for title yet with IL, I bought in Wisconsin. I will be sending away for title and registration for IL residents
