Finally got the chance to do some wheeling with "tacosupreme" and a few Jeep guys at the offroad park around here. It had been raining for a few days prior, so needless to say it was muddy....but wheelin is wheelin.
I'll start off with the highlights of the day. My Taco winching out a stuck Jeep. This Jeep belonged to a random German guy, who managed to get himself rather stuck in a deep hole/ledge. He had AT's on the rear, and street tires on the front...LOL.
(yeah, I dont have gloves on, they were buried under the grill I brought in the back of my truck. I can hear Bill Burke now.....)
It was an easy pull.
Not even 10 minutes later, the same Jeep was seen stuck in the middle of a huge water hole. He managed to swamp his engine. Got it out of the hole, and you could see water level with the butterfly inside of the throttlebody. He got lucky and didnt do any internal damage, flushed it out, and was wheeling within an hour and a half.
Now for my minor, but inconveinent carnage. Started out getting seriously hung up on an unseen rock in this wall. It was hung up on the t-case/crossmember.... No problem, just got a quick tug backwards to get unstuck, and I will back out. Only, it was so steep that my newly install tail pipe (to pass inspection with) dug in and got folded over twice under the bed, and the engine would not run because of the kinks. Out came the hack-saw.
You can see the pipe hanging.
