Well I got my wheel adapters from http://wheeladapter.com/ as they are local to me, and I could drop off my rim and hub so I could convert my 6 lug Chevy rims to 6 lug Ford pattern. I was hopping for 1.75 inch width but because they make them hub centric they needed to be 2" wide for the the lip to fit the wheel. Luckily the seem to fit just right although a quarter inch less would have been better in my eyes.

I do have concerns about the clearance between the top of the wheel and the inner fender. I have 2 1/4" spacing with my trailer fully loaded with my equipment. For a 4,000 lb Axle I don't see much movement in the springs.

I was thinking of that but I was concern about raising the center of gravity on my trailer to much. I figure doing that would add another 3 to 4 inches. I was hoping to add at most maybe an 1 1/2 of lift. I may go with adding longer shackles

Just to piggyback this. I had them make a set of 8x6.5 to 8x170 adapters so I could run matching superduty wheels on my m101a3 trailer.

These are awesome! However, I have sold the truck (now running a gmc)... Adapters are for sale...see classifieds..$100 plus shipping.
