Got the FJC out to the San Juans before snow flies...

It sure was a great few days...

Met up with Senor Buckwheat. Here we are at the top of Imogene 13,114 ft....

We did some of the more obscure trails. Governor Basin was incredible. Here we are at the end of Yankee Boy beneath Mt. Sneffels...

One really spectacular trail was Kendall Mountain. You end up on a perch high above Silverton at almost 13K feet...

There are some spots where negotiating a pass would be about impossible...

Arrastra Gulch (http://www.narrowgauge.org/4x4/html/arastra.html) was another cool trail...

Sure was a great few days. We wrapped it all up with a great run up Mineral, over Engineer and then on to Lake City...

I've got some good video of the final run. I hope to get it edited and will post up soon.

Thanks, Borison. The white wheels give it a retro FJ40 look and I get lots of positive comments about that.

sweet. mount sneffels is a good climb. from the parking lot there .25 miles traverse .75 miles strait up the scree field. one of the easiest 14ers ive climbed.

Yeah, that Kendall trail was something. It starts right by the little ski area in town. There are two main legs and both are worth doing.

The one that goes up to the weather station (or whatever it is) gets real tight and gnarly but has the view of Silverton. Be careful though, it more or less dead-ends with almost no room to turn a vehicle around.

I think that besides access for the weather station and a great lookout point, the trail was made for snowmobile tours. Which would be totally cool....

We were looking for new trails since we have done everything else many times over. Kendall worked out great.
