Too far from me but curious if anyone has ever used that site to purchase equipment...

good find, I've never bought or bidded in that auction but from their past auctions I've seen the M416s were going for 700-800 on avg. I wonder if I can steal this one, its right up the road from me.

I registered to bid and upon further investigating found this on its condistion
H7 description: Material which has been determined to be unserviceable and does not meet repair criteria; Type I shelf life material that has passed the expiration date, and Type II shelf life material that has passed the expiration date and cannot be extended. NOTE: Classify obsolete and excess material to its proper condition before consigning to the DRMO. DO NOT classify material in supply condition H unless it is truly unserviceable and does not meet repair criteria. ¶

I wonder how bad it really is.

I've gotten a M105 and M101 trailers and a M101 rolling frame from that gov't auction lister. That was several years ago. Back then, an EUC (End Use Certificate) wasn't required. I've recently won another M101 and had to fill one out. It suppose to take up to 45 days to get cleared. But you never know. I'm still waiting and its close to the 45 days (early December).

I've seen quite a few of M416s pop up and from the TX area (what is up with that?). Last one went for over $1400. I stopped bidding at $650.

Member Joaquin Suave seems to have had some bad experience(s) with them, maybe he'll chime in...

My impression from his previous comments: I think you want to try and inspect it before bidding, at a minimum. 'Course, how much could be wrong with a steel trailer??

Good luck.

WRT the condition report, when I was in the military the only way you could get rid of something was to declare it unservicable/unrepairable. :)

I wish I could figure out something to do with these Shelters! They look like they would make a great platform to start with. I'm sure you could make them into a trailer somehow. I wonder what the insides look like?

They are located in Minnesota about 2 hours from Minneapolis/St. Paul. You get two of them per bid! Too bad I don't have any space at my house. That and the Wife would kill me! :wings:

I bought 4 M200A1 trailers from them before from For Lewis in Washington. Easy transaction and good help with getting them off the base.

BTW, I have one other M200A1 left if anyone is interested. It's heavier than the small ones as it's 2.5 ton. The last one I had on eBay sold for a dollar.....the one before that was $300. Here's the last auction to give you an idea, but the actual trailer is a little dirtier than this one.

16 Years on ExPo. Whoa!!
that is cool, I have never seen the 1/4 ton trailers in the auctions before. I had a 3/4 ton something flatbed military trailer that I loved and shouldn't have ever sold. One of the 5 lug trailers (usually a good indication of its weight rating). It was about 800 lbs though. Would have been a killer platform to chop up and turn into something cooler. In the end I mostly used it for hauling stuff like a pickup truck :)

I have a M103A3 that I go back and forth on selling. It's a heavy thing, but last summer I dropped the rear stabilizers and we built a set of axles on the back, then used it for a welding bench for a few months. Every time I go to sell it something comes up where it comes in handy.
