GPS which takes height into account!

Does anyone have recommendations for a SatNav which can route to avoid low bridges?

My current Garmin has died and I was considering going to a Montana but I don't think it has this feature.

Thanks

Can't say a specific model, but check out the stuff made for OTR truckers. They have that specific need all the time.

I see you're from Ireland, so that's Over The Road truckers on our side of the pond. The big rigs. I was going to suggest stopping in to a big truck stop and seeing what they had around, but that might not be so easy for you. I have no idea if truckers in other parts of the world use this sort of thing, but seems logical that they would.

Don't take this for gospel here. I bought a Sprinter and had asked a similar question on the Sprinter forum. (The actual question was "what is too tall")

But, people had made comments about using "truck route" or other settings in their nav to avoid low bridges, etc. Maybe someone can contribute specific setting information.

The Garmin Dezl line of GPS do this. I have the big one in my Fuso (760LMT) but they make a 5" screen as well.

It does other truck related stuff like warn you of sharp turns, steep hills, etc.

If you look you can usually buy a factory refurb Garmin at a pretty good discount to MSRP.
