GPS with truck routes

Can anyone recommend a good GPS with truck routes in it? My parents have a 42' Beaver they've been traveling around in and have gone through 3 different models of GPS's in the last 6 months and they run too slow with the SD cards with routes in it. I was thinking the Garmin 765t, but...........? Any input?

Have them go to the truck stops. they will find all kind of GPS help there. I'm a truck driver and run the PCmiler copilot 9. Love the program. You can get it for a laptop or stand alone.

If you use a Garmin GPS, you can tell it what kind of vehicle you are driving so it modifies it routes accordingly, you can also tell it to avoid toll roads, u turns etc.

Yeah they do have that option but what my parents have found out several times is that the unit won't tell them they are on road that's unfriendly to big rigs until it's too late. On their latest trip to Louisiana it took them to a bridge crossing that was only rated for 20,000lbs and they had no where to turn around. That kind of thing has happened far too many times now and my dad is getting quite frustrated. I may just recommend a laptop with some good software, but he likes the small units.
