Grand Cherokee purchase?

I know this probably covered elsewhere but the search didn't get me what I was looking for. I am looking at a 94 GC with 5.2 auto. It is in good shape and just needs a bit of brake work. I can get it cheap. Anything in particular I should check or be aware of that is GC specific? Thanks!

Check the viscous coupler. It is the piece in the diff that enables the car to be all wheel drive. They are common to go out around 100,000 miles. The repair can be quite costly.

Get the car nice and warm. Take a long test drive. When the car is warmed up, find a large parking lot and do several tight figure 8's. If you feel the front wheels chattering or kind of skipping, the viscous coupler is worn out.

By the way, I LOVE my 94 ZJ V-8. Good luck with the purchase !!!
