Greetings from Northern California

Greetings from Northern Cal. Found this board while doing my homework on expedition trailers and thought I'd join up and get in on the fun.

Recent life and career changes have sparked family interest in expedition-style outings and provided the means to make it happen.

Our tow vehicle is an `02 Xterra SE/SC that I've been building up. Most of the big work is done. Just need to get the winch on and finish up a few details.

We've decided to go with a Horizon trailer from the Adventure Trailer guys once we iron out the details and the IRS provides the rest of the funding. :wings:

I'll post up a pic when I can scrounge up a good action shot.

Welcome to expo. You'll find quite a few xterra's here to give you some idea's and I've always been a nissan owner, so if you have any Q's regarding engine, or suspension, im sure myself or few others will chime in here. Thanks everyone!

Most of my off-road travels have been on two wheels (riding all kinds of motorcycles since I was a wee lad), tent camping or backpacking. Recently got interested in expedition style travel and we're off and running!

I've been wrenching on stuff since I was a kid, but still learning all the time. Can't seem to leave anything in it's factory configuration... I've already gotten some great ideas off Expo. :sombrero:

I'm sure I'll be tapping the collective experience of the board members for sage advice as things develop.
