Grill and Oven recommendations

We are going with a minimal inside cooking setup in our truck camper (two small burners) and would like to do most of our cooking (and possibly baking) outside. We've reserved a large exterior storage box for the kitchen, and have added a quick LP disconnect.

Does anyone have a high quality gas grill they would recommend? It could be a portable, counter top, or slide out variety. Also, does anyone know of a small camp oven?

Thanks,
Bob

Here is an all in one.
I think Roseann has one, I am not 100% sure?

Camp Chef Outdoor Camp Oven

I hear it works fairly well.

I've found a lot of info in the chef forum. The Coleman products are good, and then there are also more expensive stainless steel stoves. There is a grill top oven people use. Forgot the name, but it's common. Maybe from Coleman.
I think what's harder is determining all the secondary stuff needed to cook.

I have a knock-off of the Camp Chef, labelled "Trail Wood". I haven't cooked on it yet, but it seems to work fine in a bit of testing I did. The only issue so far is the oven goes to 400F when set at the minimum temp.

it's been a really long time but i have used a Coleman stove top oven very successfully, after a little getting used to we could bake bread and everything else with no problems, plus it was a collapsible unit which was pretty neat since it took very little space when stored.

Also I have had an oven for ages that goes on top of any stove, it uses the 8x8 non stick pans in it.

Here is a pic of mine from last August.
I do not think the style has changed much since I bought mine around 1990 or so.
They do have a dual pan model out now too.

Bob, I have seen your full size rig and I was wondering how big an outside kitchen do you want? If weight is no issue go for the Camp Chef All Terrain Stove or the Weekender. 40,000 BTU at your disposal.

With the grill option

go for either the Foxhil or the Coleman stove top ovens and you are good to go:chef:. If weight, space and propane economy where not an issue I think this would be my set up.

If you want a dedicated oven there is the portable Coleman Propane Oven

If budget isnt an issue there is always the Snow Peak system that Ho uses/sells at Expedition Exchange .

(I do not whose set-up this is... I poached the pic from Ho's site)

Truely great grilling occurs every time I pull out my Weber Q120. Spent alot of time looking for a durable, high quality camp grill. Not the lightest or most compact, but one that can actually cook evenly, control the heat, sear, decent grill size, etc...
enjoy,
aaron
