Grumpy takes to the trails

Had quite a bit of fun with my wife's Jeep group this weekend at the Badlands Off-Road Park located in Attica, IN. Grumpy did a lot better stock than I thought it would. I was only stupid with it once and got high centered on a section of trail.

One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just doesn't belong,
Can you tell which one is not like the others, before I finish this song.

Can I go up?

No, but I can go down.

Managed to shake the exhaust out of all of its hangers while running through the creek. Kinda noisy.

And to add some expo style content. The van is kitted out with a full size futon mattress that sits on a wood platform and the backs of the folded rear benches. My wife and I slept in the van Saturday night as our ground tent had taken on some water.

Ha! How'd I miss this? Thats awesome Aaron.

Was the water crossing really rocky or something? How did it shake the exhaust loose?

I'm curious about your front recovery point set up; do you have a link to any info on it? I can imagine what you must have done, I'd just like to see pics or hear details.

How'd you get stuck, high centerred in a rut?

Is that your wife's Liberty next to the van in the line up picture? It looks great.

Thanks!

The creek run is as length of creek that we are in for a while. It gets rocky in spots, tagged the passenger side door with on a boulder in it. The rearmost rubber hanger was known to be deteriorated, which allowed extra movement.

No link yet. The hooks are off a Blazer mounted to the frame horns and the bumper gained a couple hole for them to go through. Zero ground clearance loss.

High centered a mound on the transmission cross member. No matter which way I was pulled the cross member dug in deeper.

My wife's is the silver one with yellow accents. (She's on here too, user name YelloCoyote)
