GXV seems to be selling their BAE's

I was at GXV about 2.5 wk ago and checked out the green one. I understand the ones with the Cat engines are military and protected from EMP. I also understand GXV does or can rework the rear axle to get the top speed from the stock 60 mph to about 75 mph. I personally would take the silver unimog u500 they have for sale, as I think it will do more and ride better, but I could be biased as I love my u500.Those Bae's are awesome, though, and at least while stateside, getting one of them worked on is easier than finding someone to work on a u500.

How much are the Brazos? They look huge. Are they about the same size as the unimog? I think I have see some postal trucks that use that platform.

The BAE is slightly lower in overall height between the two. But not by much.

I believe the 4x4 brazos is about $188k brand new. The ones for sale at GXV are used , however.

I keep thinking about those Brazos... I think it would be awesome to have the green one with a flat biege Pangea box on the back that only revealed the windows when the roof was raised. Kind of stealth (for a beast this size) By looking like a military transport. Then the inside would be all modern luxury... Is it roughly $188k for the truck plus $100k+ for the box? I guess I can dream.

Probably more like 300K for the box and all the frame level guts. I wish they would start a rental program, even if its in their own back yard.

check out the "In Stock" section on GXV's website. They now have a GXV body with cab to cabin access mounted on the army green Brazos . Looks pretty good
