Halfmoon, and environs trip

As we start down the trail from Lockwood valley, past Pine Springs Camp, and over the escarpment to Grade valley

At the drop off

As we enter Grade Valley, our destination is at the end of this road, after crossing two creeks, and cruising along the side road.

As we cross the valley floor, we arrive at the trailhead to "The Fish Bowls" trail up the mountain.

All the trails out here are marked for "NO OFF ROAD" from the marked trails.

All the Jeeps are covered in mud from crossing the creeks, even tho I did not show the water!

At the camp ground under big pines, with a meadow just over the back by the creek.

As Bill comes up over the trail along Mutau Creek, we regrouped to continue down toward Yellowjacket trail. This trail only goes 2 miles for 4x4's, but then continues for Moto's only to Gold Hill.

what this rock looked like was a camels lips, and was a good spot for camp.

as the trail narrows we have to climb up a bit of a hump

Of course the trail comes to an end, and we must turn around by backing down the trail!!

Yes! This place is out of the trail, and along the road back to Lockwood.
