Hand Brake

Has anyone rebuilt their hand brake? I am not able to get mine to turn but would like to get it working again. I just don't want to destroy it in the process. Any advice?

Lots of penetrating oil, work it a little each day then when it moves
dissassemble all the parts run a die on the threads to clean them.
reassemble with lots of grease and you should be good to go.

I got it. Just chucked it up in a lathe and worked it back and forth. The lower bolt came out but the top portion and threads are still in the handle. Not sure how to get that apart but the handle now spins.

Could soak it in an homemade electrolysis tank for awhile...
