Handheld GPS for Hiking

I'm in the market for a handheld GPS for hiking, ATV riding, camping, etc. The only brand of GPS I have ever used is Garmin so I've been looking at their offerings. I just wanted to ask here since there are so many of the community that have experience with these, I figured I could get some good insight! ;)

So, any suggestions and recommendations on a GPS to buy? There are so many picking the right one seems a little challenging. Here are my only requirements (that I know I need at this point):

  • Lower Price Range - Less than $200
  • Waterproof
  • Mapping Capable

I have a Garmin Rino 530... picked it up used.. filled 2 purposes (radio and GPS).. I use it for both vehicle nav (don't mind the smaller screen) and for hiking and backpacking.. nice long battery life (18+ hours), you can get a used one rather cheap I think new they are like $250
