Harbor freight tongue box

I know alot use the harbor freight tongue box on their trailers. Has anyone found a better lock/ latch replacement that you don't need to leave the key in always. Thanks

Better yet.
I took my lock apart and found that you can remove a small piece, and voila...... you can now remove the key.
I was going crazy, and thought there had to be a way. After taking it apart it is very easy to see what to remove.
