has anyone experienced any water leaks from wood TD?

Hey guys, my first post here, I've been reading for a bit though. I have seen some builds here with just plywood covered with sealant and paint, has anyone ever experienced any leakage? I would like to hear from owners that have had their TD for a decade. I'd love to build but not quite sure if I should wrap it in alum or just to go ahead with same sealant/paint idea as stomperxj with his saw tooth xl. By the way amazing build budds.
I live in central Canada so weather extremes are from -50C to +35C. I would be using my TD for things like hunting and camping.

Thanks in advance,

Dan

was browsing the pages again. My trailer is about 10 years in it's current form.

I took it from Alaska to the D.C. and back in the summer of 90' -- about 15 thousand miles, and that was it's second incarnation, when I built it as a base-camp/chuck-wagon/carrier-of-stuff.

Anyways - I took the top off, to have a flat-bed utility:

and let it sit in the woods.

Don't do that. :D

This week I dug the top out of the fireweed, cottonwood and devils' club, and stuck it back on the trailer.

I had to chop out a corner that rotted, I found some wood-ants living in the back door, and some rot is up in the front too. UGH.

I hit it with a wire brush to remove the flaking paint. Spruced it up with some similar color green house paint (last time it got automotive paint to match my car, and some fiberglass and epoxy) and it's "good as new" :smiley_drive:

I'm taking it on the Denali Highway in a few weeks, should be fun

Anyway - not about my trailer, about the 1/2" plywood.

So if you abuse it, leave in the muskeg and snow all arctic winter for 8 or 9 years, it's not gonna' hold up 100%, I proved that  - but just a little bit of care could make it last. If it's still usable after what I did, a trailer kept dry and out of the snow-bank should do just fine.
