I am in the process of getting a FWC Hawk flatbed put on my F350, and I was doing some thinking about the mounting location of the 6.5' Hawk on a 7' flatbed. Most people have the Hawk pushed up against the headache rack and leave 6" off the back. Has anyone mounted it to the rear, leaving the 6" up front for ladders or other storage options? I can't see a 6" shift matter that much for COG, esp in a PSD and all the extra weight I have on it.
