Hello...100 Series buildup begins

Christo,

I do like the dual swingout bumper you are offering a lot better than the centered bumper. But I'm a US Driver's side tire kind of guy. I like that my blind spot is not increased by having the tire on the PS side. That is why I went a different direction than my original Slee bumper, I don't like the blind spots. And I completely understand why you do it to the passenger's side for safety if you have to change a tire, it just isn't what I like.

As far as use goes, I think I'm mostly interested in protection and improving departure angle. I do not mind chopping a few inches from frame to improve the angles. Also, I may upgrade from 33s to 35s, so a swing away might be needed in the future.

I like my vehicles armored, so I want something that is well built. That said, I am relatively cheap and normally build stuff myself. I'm just not good at building bumpers. Skids and sliders are about the max that I can handle.

I think the 4x4 Labs bumper will give you a slight increase in departure over the Slee. Is it needed? I do extreme stuff and the answer is probably not (though every fraction of an inch can help).

As far as construction and durability? Myself...I'm not a fan of the 4x4 Labs. My dough is on Slee though I know his price is higher than you wanted to spend. I do know I'd never settle for the look/appearance of a weld-it-yourself 4x4 Labs unit. Especially if you plan on painting and/or powdercoating it.

Christo I want that bumper for my LX470. When are they being released ? Also any details on that roof rack and the rest of the goodies on that LC ?

Cheers, Andy

The bumper is in production now. Test fitting the 1st production one, then we will make them. Working on pricing.

As for the racks, those are Rhino Racks and the Foxwing awning. Will be adding those to the site soon. We are a dealer for the Rhino racks and we are sorting out some details for the Toyota vehicles with them.

Here is a pick of the truck with awning.

Great stuff. Is the rack on the factory rails ? I went on the website but there is so many confgurations to choose from.

Bumper is sweet !

Christo,

Nice work! I like the details. Do the tabs pass through the bumper as the frame attachment?

If you are talking about the recovery points yes. They are 3/8" plates that are part of the mounting system that is directly bolted to the frame. All our bumpers work that way. The outside is then doubled up with another 3/8" plate to ensure the recovery point can not bend sideways on a off-angle pull.

Bolts to the factory locations. Does not use a rail, but goes directly to the roof mounts./

Looks great I will call you about the bumper. I just put on 285/65 R18s on the truck and it's starting to look less like a soccer mom mobile. I need to do the bumpers next and possibly the dif drop. Does this rig pictured have any suspension work ? Looking to forward to following this build up

Love the Fox awning, Christo!!

As far as drivers/ passengers/ center thing goes...I have has all three and it's never been a problem and that's with 35" spare. :peepwall: Besides what properly built 100 doesn't have a rear view camara???:ylsmoke:
