Hello all,

Was just gonna introduce myself. Been reading here for quite some time borrowed a few tips and tricks a long the way. Quick run down on my self, My name is James Blue ,30 years old looking to get in some extended camping and trips started to build my 2012 JKU more in the direction of an overland rig. I work for the Coast Guard as an MK (Machinery Technician) so going to my engineering roots I prefer to do most of my modifications and work myself. Unfortunately living on a military base I can not do any welding or fun stuff like that. Just got done uploading photos to my album in my profile so if you care to see my JKU just swing in there. As far as future plans with my rig your guess is as good as mine, I see or dream up something new everyday. Big projects are get my roof rack basket built and installed. Dual battery set up done. Also got a deal on a Tepui roof top tent hopefully pick it up next month.

Welcome! I'm from Waltham.
I know you from the WF forum... if you are the same one.
Is that a rampage bumper you have?

Hey James, Welcome.
I'm sure you know that Southeastern Mass is rather limited for off road adventures. I would recommend the Norteast Overland Rally and Workshop in Vermont this October. You can check out other rigs and how they are set up for overlanding and do some awesome trail rides. I have made some good friends at these events and on the Vermont Overland day trips ( all legal class 4 Vermont roads) look into it..
See you on the trails,
Bob
