Expedition Portal is very pleased to announce that Hellwig Products is now part of our growing online community! Hellwig has signed on to help support the Expedition Portal Forum. We'd like to share a little bit about the company and their product line.
Hellwig Products Co., Inc. began in Kansas City, KS, in the early forties. With son Donald by his side, Rudolph “Rudy” Hellwig began designing and manufacturing “helper springs.” The business was moved to Southern California in the mid forties and incorporated in 1946. By the mid 60s, the company’s southern California location proved to be too small and Don moved the manufacturing facility to its current location in Visalia, California. Throughout the years, Hellwig Products has developed innovative suspension systems that help vehicles handle loads and control sway. The product portfolio primarily includes anti-sway bars for aftermarket and OEM applications.

Offering private label manufacturing, proprietary manufacturing, and specialty engineering services, Hellwig consistently develops unique and innovative products and services for its customers. Over the years, Hellwig has designed the most popular (and imitated) load assist products ever introduced in the light truck aftermarket, including the Load Pro 25 Series.

With a third generation Hellwig at the helm, Don’s son Mark is now directing the company and introducing a new level of innovation. Melanie White is currently Vice President giving the company 4 generations of Hellwig leadership. The company has introduced the next generation of load assist springs (the patented Pro Series Line), an adjustable feature on the latest ante-sway bar designs, and a refreshed line of air suspension products. A series of tow and haul specific sway bars has been developed as well: Big Wig bars.
